# From climate intention to local participation

Porini Foundation’s engagement in ClimateActions focuses on partnerships, international rollout and careful adaptation—helping a working product become a locally owned programme.

ClimateActions is a configurable participation platform for cities, organisations and campaigns. Its public product site documents actions, teams, progress, local discovery, partner offers, surveys, reminders and tools for programme operators. It is available as an installable browser application and through mobile app stores; capabilities can differ between release channels.

## Porini Foundation’s documented role

The public ClimateActions consortium description assigns complementary responsibilities:

- Verein MYBLUEPLANET initiated the product and contributes its mission, programme content and community experience.
- Porini Foundation develops collaboration pathways, supports partnerships and helps adapt programmes for international rollout.
- Swisscoast AG provides the technology foundation and platform-adaptation capacity.
- Operal AG handles product operations, partner workflows and AI-enabled delivery.

ClimateActions describes Porini’s collaboration as framed by a signed letter of intent. Porini is not presented as the original product owner or underlying technology provider.

## Why the role fits Porini

Porini works where conservation standards, partner networks and practical technology meet. International rollout is more than translation: a useful local edition needs trusted hosts, appropriate actions, clear partner roles, culturally credible incentives, responsible data governance and a way to learn from participation. Porini helps frame those relationships before the technology is configured around them.

## Evidence boundary

ClimateActions records participation and programme signals. Registrations, completed actions or tokens do not by themselves prove avoided emissions or environmental outcomes. Any impact claim requires a separate, transparent methodology. The product site does not publish rollout counts or measured climate outcomes attributable to Porini.
